Kings Highway
Our first home, which opened in 1983, is a grey raised ranch on Kings Highway in Westport. Home to 3 men and 2 women, this is one very busy place. If you were to stop by on any given day or evening, odds are you would find an empty house. The folks there enjoy life to the fullest, and never let any grass grow beneath their feet. They are a very talkative and energetic group who will keep you laughing all day long. The home is divided into an adorable in-law apartment downstairs, where the ladies have 2 bedrooms, living room and a small kitchen. The men's bedrooms are upstairs, with another living room, kitchen and dining room.
Pine Drive
This home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in Westport. Six ladies live here, in this cozy, barn-red raised ranch. This group of women choose to live at a more modest pace, blending a nice mix of relaxing at home, while taking time on the weekends for dinner out, or a movie. They love music, and will dance all night if given the chance.
Webb Road
A sprawling ranch in one of Fairfield's nicest neighborhoods is a home to 4 women and 2 men. Most of the group likes to be active, and look forward to going on vacations, and any opportunity to visit with friends. On the younger side, this group of housemates are usually up for most anything. They are talkative, and will regale you with stories of the week's activities from home or work.
Maple Road
Atop a hill in Easton sits this raised ranch. The very large yard gives ample space for the 5 energetic young men who call this home. They are charming, and at times competetive. They are the energizer bunnies of CLASP, always the last to leave the party. They enjoy walking on the trails in Easton, or shooting hoops at the YMCA. They need energetic staff to keep up with them!
Blue Ridge
This yellow house on a hill in Wilton is home base for 6 men who are aging gracefully. The one level home makes life easier for those who have a bit of trouble with stairs. They are a tightly knit group of men who have lived together for quite some time. Some of them are still working and go out about town on a regular basis, while a couple of the men are slowing down, and enjoying their retirement
Reynolds Drive
The only duplex we own is home to 3 men on one side, and 3 women on the other. This young and active group is not likely to be home to answer the door if you were to drop by. In many ways, the setting is ideal - it gives each of the folks a feeling of privacy, living with just 2 others in their side of the house. But it's just a walk next door to visit with friends.
Crest Terrace
This very large home sits on a corner in a beautiful neighborhood in Fairfield, home to 3 women and 3 men. The ladies enjoy their living space upstairs, while the men have their bedrooms on the first floor. The open floorplan is designed to be welcoming to people who use a wheelchair. This group is engaging, and many are very talkative. They will enjoy either a quiet evening at home, or a party with friends.
Sturges Highway
This group of 2 women and 3 men will keep you on your toes! They are talkative, energetic and opinionated. They are a tightly knit group who are in many ways like siblings. They may squabble a bit, but they will stand up for each other in a heartbeat. Although you may feel a bit like you are in the country here, you are only 10 minutes from downtown Westport.
Weston Road
Within walking distance to downtown Westport, this grey colonial sits on a nice sized corner lot. On the lower level is an in-law-apartment where one man has his own bedroom, living area and small kitchen. He enjoys having his "own place," while having additional back-up support when needed. The upstairs is home to 5 men who have lived together for quite some time. Although they are not quite as active as they once were, they are very social and look forward to work, and going out on the weekends.
Reeds Lane
This charming blue house sits on Reeds Lane, a very cute, family neighborhood in Stratford. The homes are close together, so the yard is small, but the deck off the slider in the kitchen is big! The 4 ladies who live here keep a fairly busy schedule, and enjoy socializing. Although not the most talkative group of women - they are opinionated and will be sure to get their preferences known!
Oldfield Road
On a quiet street in Trumbull you will find this ranch style home on a corner lot. The 5 women who make this their home enjoy the fact that all of the living space is on one level, with a nice sunroom, and a deck with an awning. Most of these ladies love being out and busy. Whether it's a day in the city for a show, or a cruise to the Carribean, they look forward to those extra fun times more than most.
CLASP Community Options (CCO)
In October of 1998, CLASP Homes embarked on yet another program of excellence. Our CLASP Community Options (C.C.O.) program was developed as an alternative to the traditional 9-5 work situation. This program offers an innovative approach for the person served by CLASP to become contributing members of the community’s work force in an individualized fashion.
CLASP’s Community Options provides caring, skilled, and experienced staff which allow us to individualize the type of supports and services that each person receives. It also provides a variety of challenging and interesting activities to the people involved. We are able to focus on the unique strengths and desires of each person as we help them to create their own personalized plans.
The CLASP Community Options program specializes in:
- Developing services around the needs and desires of the person served by CLASP
- Promoting community inclusion through employment and volunteer opportunities
- Providing an array of choices and options, including work (paid or volunteer) and community involvement
- Supporting people in planning and developing the career opportunities of their choice
- Assisting people through the entire process of obtaining employment including resume writing, interviewing, job coaching, etc.
- Supporting individuals whose needs or desires do not include a work schedule by offering access to the community and by taking part in a variety of activities including museum and library visits, academic, creative, and fitness classes, shopping, community events, and many others
Our goal is to provide truly community based employment and/or community inclusion supports to people who desire them.
Services to Employers
On-Site Job Analysis: Qualified staff will visit your company and analyze the skills required to complete the job successfully. We will match the job skills required with the skills of our applicants to ensure the best possible match.
Training Assistance: Our employment consultants work with your company’s personnel to ensure that the employee performs the job to your satisfaction. We provide job "training assistance" to everyone we place. Our staff remain available to ensure a positive work environment for as long as needed.
